Not everything on the internet is safe. Just like how we might run into bullies at school, there are bad guys online too! These cyber bad guys try to trick us, steal from us, or even break our devices. We call these dangers cyber threats. Let’s learn about the most common ones!

Viruses and Malware - Think of malware like a nasty bug that makes your computer sick. It can slow down your device, make strange things happen, or even delete your files! A virus is a type of malware that can spread from one device to another, like catching a cold.
Phishing- This is when bad guys pretend to be someone you trust, like a game company or a friend, and trick you into giving away your passwords or other private info. They might send fake emails or messages.
Cyberbullying - Just like bullies in real life, cyberbullies try to hurt others online. They might send mean messages, post embarrassing pictures, or spread rumors. It’s never okay to bully others online or offline.
Hacking-Hackers are people who try to break into computers or accounts that aren’t theirs. They might do this to steal things or just cause trouble.
